After an exciting year and a successful evaluation in March 2024, the URPP H2R is now entering its second funding period (2025-28). We would like to thank all H2R members, PhDs and postdocs who have accompanied us up to this point and have worked at the URPP with great vigour and success. They have played a key role in shaping the URPP's first phase.

We are now looking forward to the next four years ahead, which will centre three new overarching strategic foci that integrate and expand our previous research:

• Focus 1: Declining Birthrates: Declining Fertility and Non-reproduction
• Focus 2: Changing Families, Gender, and Kinship
• Focus 3: Genome Editing and Reproductive Technologies beyond the Moratorium
