Jakob Schmechel is an adjunct researcher in the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded │ H2R, sub-project 2 Human Reproduction in Societies and Markets at the University of Zurich.

His research focuses on social structure analysis and the relationship between economic conditions and societal change. As part of his dissertation, he is currently researching Human Reproduction from the perspective of structures and dynamics in partnership markets.
