On 28 October 2024, the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded had the great honor of welcoming Judge Ivana Jelić, President of Section I of the European Court of Human Rights and newly elected Vice-President, for a public lecture.
Prof. Alice Margaria opened the inaugural Annual Lecture on Reproduction, titled “Motherhood as a Choice? Reflections on Abortion and Surrogacy in the Case-Law of the European Court of Human Rights”, with some introductory remarks. Judge Jelić's lecture was then followed by a discussion moderated by Dr. iur. des. Marie-Hélène Peter-Spiess.
The event was supported by the UZH Alumni Fonds and is part of the "Who is the Court for?" Lecture Series, supported by the Volkswagen Foundation. Thank you very much!
