Linda Bosshart is a PhD Candidate in the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded | H2R, subproject 3 Ethnography of Human Reproduction and Single Case Studies in Threshold Areas.
In her research, she focuses on the perspectives of patients and on existential questions about identity and biography. By using methods of qualitative social research, such as conducting narrative interviews, she aims to understand how patients ascribe meaning to reproductive medicine, and what role their cultural and/or religious value concepts play in this process. The study also seeks to understand these meaning-making-processes in relation to changing notions of “gender”, “family”, “kinship”, and “nature”.
