Marie-Hélène Spiess, scientific associate at the H2R Empirical and Normative Knowledge and Data Centre and post-doc Elena Brodeala (sub-project 1) have participated at the forum “Empowerment and Backlash: Gender as an Axis of Constitutional Contestation” that took place on 6 July 2021 at the Annual Conference of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S).The forum was convened by Prof. Ruth Rubio Marín (University of Sevilla/European University Institute), Prof. Reva Siegel (Yale Law School) and Prof. Mara Malagodi (The Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law) and discussed recent developments and attacks on gender equality (including abortion and other reproductive rights) around the globe.
