Maila Mertens, Ph.D. candidate at the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded | H2R, will participate in the 20. ISA World Congress of Sociology from 25. June to 1. July in Melbourne. She will give a talk on June 28.  with the title «New Reproduction Technologies, Gender, and Careers» for the session «Gender, Family, and Work». In her talk, she will present some first results from the MOSAiCH Data 2022 survey, wherefore the Empirical and Normative Knowledge and Data Centre contributed several questions. Maila Mertens analyzes the attitudes of the Swiss population towards assisted reproductive technologies, assuming that these attitudes are embedded in a larger context of gender roles. These analyzes will also result in a paper that she is currently working on with Larissa Fritsch and Prof. Dr. Jörg Rössel.
