A joint event by URPP H2R (University of Zurich) and the Center for Life Sciences Law (Juristische Fakultät der Universität Basel)
The workshop «The Technology and Ethics of CRISPR» will focus on the potential uses and misuse of the genetic engineering tool CRISPR. The workshop will consolidate and spark interdisciplinary work regarding three main perspectives: (i) Perspectives on CRISPR Gene Editing, (ii) Current Developments / Spotlights on Germline Gene Editing, (iii) Spotlights on Somatic Gene Editing.
International speakers, experts from the University Research Priority Program (URPP) "Human Reproduction Reloaded | H2R" of the University of Zurich and the Center for Life Sciences Law of the University of Basel as well as early-career researchers will discuss these topics in an interdisciplinary setting.
We invite junior and senior researchers from various disciplines to submit research abstracts and participate in our workshop. The PhDs and postdocs will present a research poster on-site to foster interdisciplinary exchange.
